Nestled in the heart of Maadi, Egypt, "Lifelab" is a unique project that seamlessly blends visionary design with meticulous craftsmanship. Designed by renowned designer Kari Mekhtigian, this exceptional space serves as both his private residence and a captivating showroom. The entire space is adorned with our exclusive Twilight Grey sandblasted limestone, which lends an elegant and timeless ambiance to the surroundings.

 

One of the distinctive features of this project is the meticulously coved skirtings, carved from a block of stone. Here, we took the designer's wall to floor curvature from the CAD and engineered it on the CNC machine, carving the stone with accuracy. The end result is a beautiful and seamless transition from floor to wall, all throughout the space.

The stairs are another highlight, featuring 7cm thick treads. These non-conventional, thick treads are specially produced for the client, cut from the block in the desired thickness.

Twilight Grey in the sandblasted (sabbiato) finish is used both indoor and outdoor in the entrance, reflecting the variety of application for this Limestone, as well as its aesthetic versatility.
